What You'll Need

  • V60 or similar dripper
  • Paper filter
  • Gooseneck kettle
  • Scale
  • Timer

Brewing Steps

1. Prep & Pre-heat

Rinse filter with hot water and discard rinse water. This removes paper taste and pre-heats brewing vessel.

2. Grind & Dose

Grind 22g of coffee medium-fine (similar to table salt). Add grounds to filter, creating a flat bed.

3. Bloom

Start timer. Pour 66g of water (3x coffee weight) in circular motion. Let bloom for 30-45 seconds.

4. First Pour

Slowly pour water in spirals until reaching 150g total, maintaining the water level. Wait 30 seconds.

5. Second Pour

Continue pouring in spirals until reaching 250g. Wait another 30 seconds.

6. Final Pour

Pour remaining water to reach 350g total. Total brew time should be 3-4 minutes.
